Construction Project Manager

Job Description:


We are looking for a Construction Project Manager to join our fast growing team.  The Construction Project Manager will be in charge of all on-site activities and effective management of each project, with an emphasis on high-quality work.


Job Type: Permanent Employment / Full Time


Job Vacancy: 1


Working Hours: 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year


Compensation: $70,000-90,000/annually


Location:Unit 107, 124 Cedar St., Sudbury, Ontario P3E 3L6


Job Duties:
•    Direct and oversee construction projects from conception to completion. 
•    Supervise construction projects to ensure they are completed on time and exceed the client’s requirements.
•    Prepare external and internal reports relating to job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables.
•    Keep projects on track by setting up project tasks and monitoring their execution.
•    Manage the labor schedule for each project, matching talent to the task.
•    Prepare and manage contracts and subcontracts. 
•    Estimate and maintain project budget.
•    Conduct cost analysis, estimate expected costs for the project; prepare and implement a budget based on estimates; Document all costs and ensure that expenses never exceed the construction budget.
•    Perform negotiations with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors. 
•    Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and other construction specialists across the entire project.
•    Report work progress and budget matters to clients.
•    Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems.
•    Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes.
•    Other duties as requested.


Job Requirements:


Language: English
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or other relevant fields. 
Experience: Five years or more related work experience
Other: Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with contractors, suppliers, inspectors, architects, designers and engineers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
